In response to a recent Wall Street Journal article that mischaracterized self-defense legal protection services as “murder insurance”

COLUMBIA, SC, UNITED STATES, May 26, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- “The Journal’s portrayal was misleading and irresponsible,” said Perry Orth, vice president of Right To Bear. “Our members are law-abiding Americans who carry for self-defense—not aggression. They deserve due process, not media slander.”

In a rebuttal article titled “Not all ‘firearms protection’ companies are alike,” Law Enforcement Today (LET) directly addressed the WSJ’s coverage and endorsed Right To Bear as a standout in the industry. The article highlights RTB’s transparent policies, legal reliability, and member-first approach.

“Right To Bear’s commitment to clarity, legal integrity, and member support sets them apart from the pack,” the LET article states.

Founded to defend the rights of responsible gun owners, Right To Bear provides affordable legal protection in the event of a self-defense incident—whether at home, in public, or while protecting others. As an organization that proudly supports law enforcement, churches, veterans, and everyday Americans, RTB remains committed to its core mission: to protect those who protect themselves.

“We don’t walk away from hard cases. We don’t leave people behind,” Orth said. “And we don’t apologize for protecting your right to self-defense.”
