Angola strengthens cooperation with INTERPOL

Luanda, ANGOLA, July 17 - An Angolan delegation headed by the Home minister, Ângelo da Veiga Tavares, is in Lyon, France, aimed at strengthening the cooperation with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL). ,

According to a press note from the Interior Ministry sent to ANGOP on Monday, the Angolan official travelled to France at the invitation of the INTERPOL secretary general, Jurgen Stock.

 

The delegation, which is since July 14 up to 18 in Lyon, is made up by the general- commander of the National Police and general directors of the Criminal Investigation and Foreigners and Migration Services, among others.

 

INTERPOL, which is led by the Chinese, Hongwi Meng, counts on 192 State members, encourages bilateral and multilateral actions of transactional combat against crime in all aspects and dimensions.

 

Angola was admitted in the organization in 1982.

 

INTERPOL is represented in Angola by the National Police through the National Interpol Department of the Ministry of Interior Criminal Investigation Service.
