More to know: The Devils faced their first bit of adversity in Sunday's 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks, where they trailed 2-1 after two periods. Following some ho-hum play over the first 40 minutes, the group collected itself for a solid finish.
"The first and second period, we played OK. We weren't terrible, but we weren't really good. We were just kind of in the middle there," captain Andy Greene said. "We knew coming out for the third, we had to have a big push there. We were fortunate enough to get one early and it just kind of gave us energy for the rest of the period."
